Presentation by Colleen Schafroth about the Maryhill Museum of Art. The Museum, dating from the 1920s, was an idea that grew because of an unlikely assortment of friends. Join us to learn the story and to explore what the dream became today. Colleen Schafroth is Executive Director at the Museum. She has over 30 years’ experience in museums and the arts. Schafroth holds a B.A. in English and in Art as well as a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.

Jeff LaLande discusses the reasons for the 160-year-long history of proposed secession movements to separate Southern Oregon and to form a new state with Northern California. Dr. LaLande earned a Ph.D. in history from the University of Oregon. He retired from a career as archaeologist and historian with the U.S. Forest Service.
Presentation by Ron Millar. Atheists and humanists can – and must – be engaged in the political and electoral process. Mr. Millar explores the activities that are allowable and encourages our members to become even more active in this arena. Ron Millar is the Political and PAC Coordinator at the Center for Freethought Equality. He researches and interviews political candidates for possible endorsement by the Freethought Equality Fund PAC. He has a PhD from Virginia Tech.

This includes downloadable books, online databases, streaming video, and more. Shannon Sedell and Chris Myers are librarians at Lake Oswego Public Library. Shannon has a bachelor’s degree in Art History and Chris has a master’s degree in Library Science.
